Launching a Podcast - 21 Days of Prayer and Meditation

Merry Christmas!!

I hope you enjoy this holiday season with family, friends, and loved ones!

I recently talked with my good friend while walking down Main Street here in Fraklin, TN, during the Christmas Dickens Festival. We reflected on when our children were younger and filled with childhood wonder, how much fun it was to buy a candy cane, see the lights on the trees, get your picture taken with Father Christmas, taste hot cider, and so forth. Laura Ingalls Wilder wrote, “Our hearts grow tender with childhood memories and love of kindred, and we are better throughout the year for having, in spirit, become a child again at Christmastime.” So, this Christmas, I am praying for you and myself for hearts to be filled with wonder.

After that conversation with my friend, I saw an interview with the late Mr. Rogers. He said, “I’m very concerned that our society is much more interested in information than wonder, in noise rather than silence. How do we encourage reflection?”

I thought about how I may help and came up with an idea.

I have always been inspired by how Jesus pulled away to be with Father God and how David spent time imagining himself covered by his heavenly Father’s wings and supported by God’s strong right arm. Their examples of prayer and meditation have always inspired me, and I have tried to put their methods into practice.

So, here’s my answer to Mr. Rogesr's question, “How do we encourage reflection?”

Starting January 1, 2024, I will release a three-week, daily podcast guiding listeners and readers in an immersive 21-day prayer and meditation experience to connect deeply with God and self. I will lead deep breathing, ignite your imagination, share poignant stories, ask curious questions, and lead in listening prayer. Each day for 21 days, I will release a new podcast with audio and written material.

I hope you will join me in starting 2024 with reflection and deep connection with God and yourselves.

Day 1 is live now and will be available through December. Day 2 will be available on January 2, and so forth. Please click on the link below to hear Day 1 and subscribe.

Grace and Peace,

Anthony
